Dr Jacob Chege teaches economics at South Eastern Kenya University and currently a Senior Lecturer, School of Business and Economics.
Dr Chege holds a PhD (Economics) from Egerton University, Advanced Certificate Degree in Entrepreneurship Development from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and MA (Economics) and BA (Economics) from University of Nairobi.
Dr Chege is an economist in the field of institutional and industry economics. He has researched and published widely on firm investment behavior, firms’ growth and industrial performance, business environment, role of institutions, regulation and networks.
Beyond research and teaching, Jacob has been heavily involved in policy process and capacity building, particularly through technical committees and working groups with various government ministries and private sector.
