  • 2006-2007 World Wildlife Fund (WWF) East African Programme office Nairobi, Kenya. Technical Coordinator/consultant [Environmental Flows Assessment Programme of the Mara River} Successfully co-ordinated a team of consultants from Kenya, Tanzania and the United States of America in one and a half years of fieldwork for setting the environmental flows of the Mara River of the Maasai Mara-Serengeti ecosystem of Kenya and Tanzania. Provided expert input in the field of Fluvial Geomorphology as a component of other specialist fields that fulfil the requirements of the Building Block Method {BBM} of environmental flows assessment. Actively participated in the Environmental Flows Assessment workshop that set the recommended environmental flows of the Mara River.
  • 2003–2005 Centre for Tropical Conservation and Research (Centro-Core), Nairobi, Kenya. Research Associate, Consultancy services in the fields of Environmental Hydrology, Fluvial Geomorphology and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
  • 1996–2000 University of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Teaching Assistant (Part-time). Participated in teaching, marking and fieldwork for combined courses in Environmental Hydrology, Principals of Environmental Hydrology and Techniques in Environmental Hydrology. Effectively met strict deadlines for marking weekly practicals and several essays for 35-plus classes of final year undergraduate students. Efficiently employed management skills to guide students drawn from different faculties (Engineering, Science and Arts) in undertaking joint fieldwork projects.
  • 1990-1994 Government of Kenya. Nairobi, Kenya. Hydrologist. In charge of hydrological data analysis, management, maintenance and expansion of the hydrometeolological network within a district. Effectively met administrative responsibilities of the office involving staff, budgeting and expenditure. Smoothly worked with officers from other departments, NGOs and representatives of community groups.
