Awarded Common Wealth (ICCS) Scholarship to pursue PhD in Sociology at The Centre for the Study of Social Systems, JNU, New Delhi (2005-2009).

Awarded a Grant of US Dollars 5000 for a Book Research Project by OSSREA 2012- 2014

Awarded Grant of Ksh.3,000,000 by Ipas Kenya, to Carry out Research in Maseno University among Students on Reproductive Health,2013-2014

Tender Award of Ksh 3,000,0000 by Kisumu County,review of the County Integrated Development Programme,2014. I was the Principal Consultant for the exercise.

Award of Euros 229 000 for the North-South-South Higher Education Institution Network Programme, SWAN Project, June 2014-Dec.2017.The project involved Nine Universities of Applied Sciences in Finland and Universities of Addis Ababa, Maseno University and Moshi Cooperative University, Tanzania. Funded by Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Centre for International Mobility (CIMO).Through this award, Five (5) faculty and Six Students from Maseno University participated in academic and cultural exchanges to Finland, Europe.

Fully Funded Visit as a Researcher and Scholar on SWAN Project between 30th August to 2nd October 2014.Visited Nine Universities of Applied Sciences in Finland, Europe. I gave lectures on following topics:-

  • Kenyan Cultures, Social Problems and Role of Social Work Dynamics in Upbringing of Children in Africa
  • Study of Gerontology and state of the Elderly in Africa
  • Social Protection among the Vulnerable populations in Kenya.
  • Research and Different social work pedagogical methods in Kenyan Universities

Award of Research Grants to Two post graduate students through my initiative of 2000 Euros by IFRA, Nairobi in December 2014 for field work .

Grant Award of Ksh.1,500,000 to host an intensive workshop between Maseno University, Addis Ababa University, Moshi Cooperative University and Nine Universities of Applied Sciences in Finland, Europe in May 2015.
