Dr. Charles NdunguDr Charles Ndungu is an experienced environmental scientist with over 20 years working experience in higher education, research and consultancy. He holds a PhD in environmental science and his main research interests are investigating the effects of climate and land use change on livelihoods and natural resources. He has done several studies on climate change and particularly on vulnerability and adaptations assessments to climate change and variability. He possesses excellent skills in environmental and social impact assessment, environmental auditing, strategic environmental and social assessment, preparation of environmental and social management plans, leadership, data analysis, leadership and facilitation of community based natural resources management (CBNRM) and formulation of a wide range of management plans including ordinary plans, strategic plans and community action plans especially in natural resources and environment. He has consulted for many projects some of which are funded by the World Bank and other international organizations. Currently, Dr. Ndungu serves as a Senior Lecturer and Chair, Department of Environmental Science and Land Resources Management at South Eastern Kenya University.
