Personal profile
Self-motivated, qualified climate scientist relishing new and dynamic challenges. Currently a Lecturer in the Department of Meteorology, South Eastern Kenya University. Has a broad experience in Participatory Action Research methodology and Climate Change Risk Vulnerability Assessment, Management and Adaptation through involvement in several application-related projects working directly with vulnerable communities on climate change adaptation and management issues. Is
highly motivated with ability to produce high quality work reports and meet deadlines in a fast paced, high volume environment. Has well developed interpersonal and communication skills coupled with ability to work with multicultural groups.

Consultancies

  • November 2006 to 2008: Development and dissemination of drought information to rural communities in GHA region. Funded by UNISDR/SIDA
  • July to September 2006: Coordinating a survey on Coastal and Marine Hazards culminating in thenproduction of an awareness-creation booklet. Funded by UN/ISDR (Africa)
  • 1 August to 30 September 2004: Participated in the elaboration of Country Profiles in support of the preparation of the third series of national reports on the implementation of the United Nations Convention on Combating Desertification (UNCCD) for twenty two countries in Eastern and Southern Africa region. Funded by UNCCD
